Advanced Lipid Nanoparticle Technology
EUFECT is a state-of-the-art platform for lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) used in cell transfection. Our EUFECT products are characterized by high transfection efficiency and low toxicity across a wide range of cell lines. We use proprietary ionizable lipids in combination with optimized formulations and continuously refine our EUFECT products to better meet our customers’ needs. To round out our range of services, we also offer to work closely with you to develop solutions for your LNP-based application. The EUFECT brand is backed by a consortium comprising the owner-managed company CHESS Chemische Entwicklungs- und Synthese-Service GmbH (CHESS) and the private research institute Steinbeis-Innovationszentrum Zellkulturtechnik (SIZ), both based in Mannheim. Our diverse expertise in the fields of cell biology and medicinal chemistry dates back more than 30 years and complement each other exceptionally well in the field of LNP-based cell transfection. The development of new lipids and reagents at CHESS and rapid testing on cells at SIZ enable effective product development, which has led to promising products since the start of our collaboration in this field in 2025. In addition, we maintain international contacts with research groups that test our products in their respective fields of research and provide us with feedback on their results using our reagents.

Quantitative transfection efficiency was determined by flow cytometry. Representative histograms demonstrate increased mean fluorescence intensity for Eufect Blue, Red and Eufect Gold.
Quantitative assessment of transfection efficiency using flow cytometry demonstrates improved performance of Eufect lipides across many tested cell lines. High-resolution imaging confirms cellular uptake and localization patterns. Phase-contrast microscopy reveals cell morphology, monolayer density, and integrity — confirming viability independent of transfection status
All EUFECT LNP batches are characterised by Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) using the ZetaView® system (Particle Metrix). By tracking individual particle Brownian motion under laser illumination, NTA simultaneously delivers three critical parameters from a single measurement run.
